The Nocturus develop what they consider to be the ultimate Gizoid. They dub it ‘Emerl’ but it proves too powerful and self aware for them to control. It is sealed away and efforts are instead concentrated on robots sentinels that will obey orders rather than think on their own.

(1 B.P.C ‘Before Perfect Chaos’

With the aid of Erazor Djinn, Pax calls forth the sword Calibur and then using both the sword and the Necronomicon he creates the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald, forcing Chaos’ powers to bend to his will.
With the aid of the cult of Nocturnus, Pachacamac seizes the Chaos Emeralds and the Necronomicon from Pax and uses their power to destroy the Djinn. A few djinn are sentenced to eternal imprisonment, such as Erazor Djinn, who was sealed inside an ordinary lamp intending to let him remain there for all eternity.

The Echidna’s, under the co-ruler ship of Pachacamac and Ix, enjoy several months of domination… until the sky splits open the arrival of Argus shakes the world.

The Nocturnes try to fight the Great Old one yet he simply brushes them aside and sealed him and Ix into the Twilight Cage.

Left with no other option under the assault of Argus, the ‘Blackest of Doom’s, Pax unleashes Chaos from his confinement.
The battle between Argus and Perfect Chaos rages for days before finally Chaos is the victor, pulling Argus down into the sea and sealing him in the deepest ravine in the sea bed.
Then the enraged god turns his attention on the world, especially the Echidna’s, drowning everything in his path and destroying Pax outright.
Tikal, as the only one left, takes up the Necronomicon and reseals Perfect Chaos back into the Master Emerald but she herself is sucked into the dark book itself.

The Devastating wrath of Perfect Chaos pours out across the world and the Golden Age comes to an end. The Echidna’s vanish, The Nocturnus pulled into the Twilight Cage and those remaining seeking refuge at their last stronghold in the north, protecting the Master Emerald.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Fortress Age:

(2675 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The Echidna’s retreat back to the island of Folstaag with the Master Emerald. There they build a mighty fortress to protect the gemstone.

(2673 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The Hrungnir begin their attacks against the fortress of the Echidna’s.

(2670 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

Pax appears before the Echidna’s, ascended to demi-godhood. He tells them of their new obligation to protect the Master Emerald, and that a great king would come forth to defeat the evil that slumbered beneath the ocean and deliver the world from death and destruction in its darkest hour. This king would be the messiah and would put many things right that had once gone wrong.
This began the Echidna concept of guardianship. Pax reached out and touched his grandson and that Echidna was marked by spurs that grew out of his knuckles. Each guardian has been marked this way ever since.

(2698 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

Placing the Master Emerald where Pax told them to, directly in the heart of the stronghold, the Echidna’s were amazed to discover that the power of the Emerald protected their land by levitating it up out of the earth. The fortress and a sizeable piece of land surrounding it was pulled up and Angel Island was created, rising up out of the earth and into the sky.

(2621 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

With the Echidna’s and Djinn gone the various peoples start to go their separate ways. The humans in Midgard begin expanding while the Orcs raid down into proto kingdoms in the desert to establish authority. About this time, the Hrungnir begin their conversion to the worship of their new and mysterious god, Woden.

(2432 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The first cases of the Red Plague are noticed in Vanaheim.

(2248 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’;)

Leading many united tribes out of the desert and north towards the fertile region of Logres is a clan chief called Uther the Hedgehog. Uther wielded a powerful sword, which he called Caliburn and his advisor was a strange figure with white hair and one eye.

(2247 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

Uther’s clans are set upon by the Salamanders, who plan a blood bath to abbess Iblis for the death of all his djinn worshippers two hundred years ago. The power of the blade, Caliburn, delivered the tribes out of the fanatics hands and down into the fertile fields and floodplains of the Logres.

(2121 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

With the mysterious old man with white hair and one eye, the kingdom founded by Uther flourishes and his descendants rule guided by a unique chivalric code. The first duchy is founded, the duchy of Logres. It also becomes clear that their advisor is immortal. However, when the first city of this new nation, Tol’Mace, is built they are attacked by the territoriality aggressive trolls.

(2170 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

A peace treaty is signed with the trolls and their race becomes a part of the kingdom, providing them with excellent warriors and foot soldiers.

(2039 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The Red Plague flares up and becomes a major epidemic, sweeping through the unprepared humans of Midgard. This prompts a huge migration, humans spread out into Jotunheim and the western coast of the eastern continent. This spreads the plague until nearly half the world becomes an infected zone. The Orcs and birds were hit especially hard and millions began to die.

(2003 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The universities and research centres in Logres continue to search for a cure for the plague. At the command of the current king and wielder of Caliburn, relief columns of food and medicines begin to move into the lands of the Orcs and the birds.

(1989 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The Red Plague continues to weep through the world until a group of knights, noblemen from the court of the king, led by the mysterious white haired old man with one eye who by now men refer to as, Merlin, head out on a quest to find the cure.
After five months they discover it. The cure can be distilled from a drop of blood from a Star Spawn. The Red Plague was a relic, left over from the biological weapons Argus used to decimate the Echidnas. Only the blood of his spawn holds the key to surviving it.
Eventually they find one... the last one left alive on Earth Second, General Dagon. Chasing him across the land, they finally corner him on a cliff. During the battle one of the knights slices off one of Dagon’s fingers before the Star Spawn escapes. From this, Merlin was able to siphon off the immunity the Star Spawn have from the lethal viruses of their master.
On this same journey, Merlin meets the woman who becomes his wife and together they begin a family

(1986 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The cure is made wide spread and the Plague began to dissipate. However, the Orcs begin to flex their military might in the aftermath and in order to buffer them the king proclaims the creation of two more duchies, the duchy of Falcon and the duchy of Soleanna. Penned in on all four sides, the Orcs are unable to do anything more beyond small raids. In this time, the wall of Chun-Nan is built in Logres.

(1976 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The humans who fled to Jotunheim begin a separate nation, and begin the practise of the savage fighting style known as ‘berserking’

(1965 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

Merlin’s granddaughter, also seemingly immortal, Merlina is born.

(1654 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The Umbra come out of thousands of years of seclusion and begin an invasion of the eastern continent, marching up through the Djinn desert to attack the Duchy of Falcon.

(1643 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The largest military alliance is assembled against the Warlock legions of Umbra. The Orcs ally themselves with the three duchies and the War of the Sundered Stone. This prompts the people of Logres to tame the dragons of their land, harnessing them as war mounts.

(1601 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

Even with their superior of dragon formations, the war lasts for forty years, the two armies clash climatically at the battle of Tolskrag. The Umbra armies penetrated all the way to Vanaheim and meeting the alliance at the Tolskrag Glacier, they fought. Merlina and Merlin aided the alligance against them and wielding Caliburn, the king took the field himself and finally the invasion force was broken. The main army of the Umbra was crushed.

(1600 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The true cost of victory against the Umbra was understood. Thousands had died in the war and thousands more in the deciding battle. There weren’t enough men to tend the crops during the following seasons and famine and pestilence became widespread.

(1573 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

Research into mechanical flight is begun by the Falcon duchy in an effort to have a wider range for their military and to keep up with Logres Dragon airforce.

(1464 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The humans of Jotunheim drive the Hrungnir out and into the frozen reaches of Alfheim. This begins the present nation of the north, who presently rules from the city of Jotun.

(1402 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The newest ruler of the Umbrian empire, Arcebus, banishes the Umbra witch Nexia for the use of the darkest necromancy of corpses of the royal family and the worship of the god of Death, Krish Kra Pal.

(1354 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

Arcebus makes peace with the three duchies and while he is in Logres for the peace negotiations, he falls in love with a hedgehog from the royal house. He fathers onto her a child, Zelos.

(1353 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

The affair with an Umbra is used by a rebellion warlord to discreet the royal house and rebellion seeps through the duchy as a result of his propaganda.

(1340 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

Merlina, granddaughter of Merlin, foresees the destruction of the united Kingdom of Logres and she searched for a way to change the fate of the kingdom. Out of desperation she found and used the Necronomicon. The present King of Logres, Arthur, also desperate to keep his kingdom from flying apart, helped her unleash its power to remain dominant and they were altered, becoming the Black Knight and the Black Queen.

(1332 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

For eight years the court of Unseelie ruled the kingdom, with The Black Knight and Black Queen unleashing horrors untold. Eventually however, the Black Knight betrays the queen, siphoning off her power to create an alternative version of Caliburn.- Deathcaliburn, a sword of great and intense evil.
Merlin retrieved the battered and defeated form of his granddaughter and then, with the power of Light Gaia, created another sword… Arondight, the blade of the Lance Lord.

The Last pure knight of the realm, Lamorak, took this new blade and used it with its sister sword Caliburn to kill the Black Knight and imprison his corrupted soul inside Deathcaliburn. Both Caliburn and Aronsight are lost during the final confrontation. This marks the end of the second age.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There, he is exposed to Dark Rutilium, created by the ancient Djinn bodies. All his men die instantly but Davious undergoes a transformation, absorbing the power into his very being. He becomes the first vampire.
Returning to Soleanna, he begins an underground cult to convert the people to worship him. The other three knights attempt to stop him and two of them are killed, Rikoye is only bitten and left for dead. Merlina’s magic sustains him but Rikoye is also infected and over time he transforms into a vampire as well.

(525 B.R ‘Before Ragnarok’

With Davious causing civil war in Soleanna, The Federation seized the opportunity and flexes its military muscles. It begins the colonisation of the heretofore near deserted continent of Maya and begins a war of aggression against the Bird Kingdom. Logres comes to the bird’s aid in the War of Sails.

(523R ‘Before Ragnarok’

Bolstered by Dragon formations, the Bird Kingdom beat back the invasion of the Federation and the Kukkuh family use the war to cement their hold on hearts of the bird population, claiming much new territory almost up to the gates of Gosta and Bastion. I see that you subscribe to the ideal of "Sci-fi writers have no sense of scale". I am very sorry, but when I see a timeline spanning 32,626 years, I tend to get a little antsy. Humans as a species are about 130,000 years old, but civilization itself is only about 12,000 years old, max. And the oldest true civilizations only emerged around 5,000 years ago. Most fantastic (read: fictional) civilizations would probably fall into the same range and timeframe.

As a writer, I understand the reasoning behind your decision. However, as a history student and world builder, I find the timeframe to be wholly unbelievable and outside of my "willing suspension of disbelief."

This is only my opinion, but I thought that I should at least make it known. I mean no disrespect, and I hope that you see this only as constructive criticism and not as a flame.

Regards,

Tanglemorph.
